Production Log 12

This week we decided on the typography and color which were going to be used for our final edited production. We again looked a real BSR films and how their credits and graphics were added. Most of which were very simple, clear to read and stuck to one color for all graphics not at all usually super-imposed, in the end decisions such as the size of the graphics, the color and the placement on the screen for each individual graphic. In the end we kept the graphics simple and they were made white on the bottom or top of the screen so it won't detract from anything the audience will see on screen.

What helped us make these decisions was watching real successful BSR films and seeing how they included graphics in their opening  sequence from films such as Adulthood, Ill Manors and Made in Britain. Looking at these three opening credits we found that the graphics were all very similar to each-other with the exception of size and font, while the main color: white, was choose by all three.

As you can see even the main title is white which shows the significance of using plain typography while choosing graphics to follow the main conventions of using graphics within the BSR genre.
